Atlanta Boy Raises $500 for Future Philanthropy with Heartwarming Hot Apple Cider Stand

Atlanta’s Young Philanthropist Spreads Holiday Cheer

Atlanta is buzzing with joy and excitement thanks to a remarkable 6-year-old named Sean Moore. This little first grader at Bolton Academy has found a heartwarming way to give back to his community during the festive season. Instead of the typical holiday chores, Sean decided to set up a delightful hot apple cider stand right in his own neighborhood, aiming to raise money for kids who might need some extra cheer this holiday.

A Sweet Goal: $250 for a Good Cause

With a big dream and a bigger heart, Sean planned to raise just $250. However, as the community came together in support of this pint-sized entrepreneur, he ended up doubling his goal by pulling in an impressive $500! What made his stand even more special was the secret ingredient he included with every cup: a slice of his grandmother’s legendary homemade honeybun cake. “Everyone loves my grandma’s cake,” Sean beamed. “I thought it would make people happy and want to help even more.”

From Lemonade to Cider: A Journey Inspired by Kindness

The inspiration for this charitable venture arose from Sean’s successful lemonade stand earlier in the summer. “He really enjoyed meeting neighbors and seeing their excitement for his lemonade,” mentioned Sean’s mom, Shenita Mickens. When the joyful holiday season arrived, Sean was eager to recreate that positivity with a new purpose—helping other children.

Delivering the Joy: A Heartfelt Surprise

On December 19, with great pride, Sean presented a $500 check to the Atlanta Mission’s My Sister’s House, a shelter dedicated to supporting women and children in need. The staff at the shelter were touched by his generosity and even surprised him with a thoughtful gift bag as a token of appreciation. Sean couldn’t contain his excitement, exclaiming, “It was so much fun! I love helping people, and I’m glad I could help kids have a better holiday.”

The Future Looks Bright for Sean Moore

This young philanthropist has big dreams! Sean wants to own his own business one day. When asked what he might do next, he flashed a big grin and said, “Maybe hot cocoa or cookies next time.” Surely, this child knows how to keep the spirit of giving alive!

Inspiring the Community, One Sip at a Time

Sean Moore is a shining example of how a giving heart, a pinch of determination, and a sprinkle of entrepreneurial spirit can truly make a difference during the holiday season and beyond. As we celebrate this holiday, let’s take a page from Sean’s book and think of ways we too can help brighten someone’s day. After all, the world could always use a little more warmth and kindness, especially in chilly Atlanta!

In Sean’s own words, “It’s fun to be a helper,” and isn’t that the best sentiment of all?
