Atlanta, GA – Eminent business leaders, Jewell Burks Solomon, Monique Rodriquez, and Anne Quatrano are set to headline an impressive panel at the United Way of Greater Atlanta’s 16th Annual Women’s Leadership Breakfast. The event, set to take place at the Woodruff Arts Center on May 2, aims to highlight the importance of women’s entrepreneurship and economic stability.
The United Way Women’s Leadership Breakfast will spotlight the challenges and triumphs of women in entrepreneurship. Through engaging conversations, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from these successful women about their journey to success and their insights into women’s empowerment. The panel discussion will be moderated by Juanita Velez, Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Operation at Delta.
This year’s panelists bring a wealth of experience and wisdom from various industries. Monique Rodriquez, the founder of Mielle Organics, is at the helm of one of the fastest-growing, black-founded, and women-led beauty brands. Meanwhile, Jewell Burks Solomon, is a Managing Partner at Collab Capital, which aims to bridge the funding gap for Black entrepreneurs. Completing the triumvirate is Anne Quatrano, an award-winning chef, restaurateur, and author whose restaurant Bacchanalia recently received a Michelin star.
The breakfast is more than just an avenue for networking and discussion; it’s also a nod to the necessity of economic stability for community wellbeing. The United Way Engagement Group, Women United, works tirelessly to foster economic stability for women and children across Greater Atlanta. This includes initiatives like the Motel to Home Alliance which aims to transition families from impermanent to permanent housing. Discussions on such efforts will form part of the event’s proceedings.
One highlight of the event is a business market featuring women-owned businesses, organized in collaboration with The Village Retail. This unique opportunity will allow attendees to directly support women in entrepreneurship while discovering and patronizing unique and innovative businesses. This event coincides with National Small Business Month, a period dedicated to highlighting the impact of small businesses on local economies.
