Donald Trump Agrees to Face Kamala Harris in Upcoming Debate on Fox News

Trump mentioned that his agreement to engage in a debate at Fox News comes after the cancellation of a previously scheduled ABC News debate. Contributing to the cancellation is a lawsuit by Trump against ABC Network and its host, George Stephanopoulos, leading to a “conflict of interest.”

Trump made the announcement through his social media platform, Truth Social. He stated, “I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th. The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated.”

The former-president expressed his disappointment to find his competitive landscape suddenly altered. He had been prepared to contend against Biden, but after the latter withdrew from the race, the Democratic party’s nomination was taken up by Kamala Harris. Trump initially rejected the idea of a debate with Harris, noting she was not the originally nominated candidate. However, the narrative changed when she secured enough delegates to officially become the party’s nominee.
