Trump’s Policies and Potential to Win 2024 Election Debated at a Barbershop Roundtable Discussion
Atlanta- Black American Business Leaders came together for a Barbershop Roundtable discussion on Wednesday. The event, organized by the Trump campaign, set the stage for an open talk about the policies and potential of the former President Donald Trump to win the highly-anticipated 2024 elections.
As part of the discourse, the Trump campaign’s “No Tax on Tips” policy was highlighted. The policy aims to exempt tips received by hospitality workers from taxation. The discussion came during a critical time when the current economic policies under President Joe Biden’s administration have been scrutinized. The Trump campaign contends that Biden’s economic strategies have placed a heavier financial burden on Black Americans through raised prices and wage decline, coining the term “Bidenflation”.
Fighting Crime and Boosting Economic Growth
Besides economics, the roundtable also shed light on issues concerning community safety and crime control. Participants credited the hike in drug overdoses and safety challenges to Biden’s policies, while referring to Trump’s past efforts, such as investments in Opportunity Zones and support for Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as examples of his commitment to improving Black American lives.

The roundtable saw participation from prominent figures, including Congressman Byron Donalds (Moderator), Congressman Wesley Hunt, Dr. Ben Carson, Atlanta talk show radio host Shelley Wynter, and business owners Latron Price, Eric Girault, Marc KD Boyd, Daniel Ray, and Mike Glover. The event was held at Rocky’s Barbershop, located at 2591 Piedmont Road NE.

The Barbershop roundtable sets the tone for the first presidential debate between Trump and President Biden, scheduled for Thursday night in Atlanta.
