A horrifying act of violence claimed the tranquility of the city of Stockbridge, leaving three people seriously injured due to gunshot wounds. The local authorities were alerted about the incident around 9 pm, following immediate reports of shots fired near the Dollar General store situated along North Henry Boulevard, at Highway 138. However, another startling revelation soon followed this initial discovery when a subsequent 911 call reported a bleeding man within the premises of the Popeyes across the street. According to Lt. Commander Ron Momon from Stockbridge Police, it is believed that this victim somehow managed to reach the restaurant from the chaotic shooting site’s parking lot.
Panic Strikes: Witnesses Recount Terrifying Incident
Employees from a business near the scene reported hearing the harrowing sound of approximately a dozen gunshots. Fear took over, and these individuals promptly sought safety behind a freezer. The victims, including two shot in the legs and one in the chest, were promptly transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. Despite their wounds, they were responsive to the medics.
