The historic Sweet Auburn Commercial District was the site of an unforgettable event: The Spark Innovation Lab Retail Open House & Exhibition. This event was organized to celebrate National Small Business Week with the aim of showcasing the rich heritage and promising future of the area.
Visitors to the Open House were treated to a Boutique Shopping Experience, where they could discover treasures from local standouts. These included the wellness company Shealo Glo, the scented beauty of Zaniyah Naturals candle company, and the chic styles from women’s clothing boutique, London’s Closet. The event served as an avenue for these small businesses to not only display their products but to also network with potential customers and cultivate a stronger community culture.
The Open House event also doubled as a Grand Opening Reception for the captivating works of visual artists Ashley Dopson and Daniel Wingo. The vibrant gallery added a layer of artistic flair to the event, underscoring the Sweet Auburn District’s commitment to fostering creativity and supporting local artists.
While enjoying delectable bites and the finest of wines, guests had the opportunity to learn more about the Spark Innovation Lab. This innovation hub is aimed at creating opportunities and supportive programs targeting revitalization efforts of the Sweet Auburn community.
