Local Entrepreneurs Shine at the Pitch Contest in Hutchinson!

Hutchinson, Kansas is buzzing with excitement as local innovators gear up for a fantastic evening filled with creativity and entrepreneurial spirit! The highly anticipated Pitch Contest is set to take place on Monday, September 16th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the gorgeous Blue Dragon Room at the Parker Student Union on the Hutchinson Community College campus. This is definitely an event you don’t want to miss!

What’s Happening?

So, what’s the big deal about this Pitch Contest? Well, it’s the grand finale of the Entrepreneurship Business Basics JUMP© (EBB Jump) program, which has been a 12-week journey for aspiring entrepreneurs looking to transform their business ideas into real opportunities. Over three months, participants received training geared toward honing their business skills, insights, and resources to launch their startups.

Jackson Swearer, the executive director of StartUp Hutch, couldn’t hide his excitement. He said, “We’re thrilled to see the creativity and ambition that local entrepreneurs will bring to the Pitch Contest.” It’s clear that everyone is eager to witness the next wave of business innovation that’s brewing right here in Reno County!

Cheering for the Contestants!

Community members, business leaders, and anyone who loves supporting local entrepreneurship are encouraged to show up and cheer on these talented contestants. This is a fantastic chance to soak in new, creative ideas that could potentially shape the local economy.

During the contest, participants will stand before a panel of judges and pitch their business ideas in hopes of securing a share of $2,000 in prize money! The EBB Jump program has been a game-changer for many of the participants.
