Paulding County High School Teacher Surprised with $10,000, iPad from Chick-fil-A

An East Paulding High School teacher received a heartwarming surprise last week when Chick-fil-A honored him with two special gifts. Ples Davis, who mentors students involved in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, was recognized by Chick-fil-A leaders at their Support Center in Atlanta.

Going Above and Beyond

Davis, a dedicated educator with 44 years of experience, was selected by Chick-fil-A to be one of 10 leader academy facilitators nationwide. His commitment to guiding and inspiring students in the program did not go unnoticed, leading to a well-deserved recognition from the fast-food chain.

A Token of Appreciation

During the surprise presentation, Davis was presented with a brand-new iPad and a generous $10,000 check for his school. The gifts serve as a testament to his hard work and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of his students.

A Favorite Program

Reflecting on his involvement with the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, Davis expressed his deep appreciation for the program, stating that it is his favorite among the various student groups he is involved with. He emphasized the importance of staying motivated to make a difference in the lives of young individuals.

Recognizing Meaningful Influence

Kurt Davis, the owner and operator of a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Hiram, Georgia, sponsors the group that Ples Davis mentors. Kurt nominated him for the facilitator role, highlighting the culture of meaningful influence that Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy instilled in the brand.

An Impactful Legacy

Through his dedication to mentoring students, Ples Davis embodies the values of Chick-fil-A and the belief in creating a positive influence on others. While his primary goal is to support and guide students, the surprise gifts from Chick-fil-A serve as a reminder of the impact he has on those around him.

Indeed, as Davis humbly acknowledged, it is gratifying to be recognized for his efforts and the positive outcomes that have stemmed from his involvement in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy.
