Fugitive Wanted for Ohio Teen’s Murder Captured in Georgia After 9-Month Manhunt
LITHONIA, Ga. – A Nine-Month Search Ends with Fugitive’s Arrest
The manhunt for the suspect in the murder of a 14-year-old boy in Ohio ended this week with an arrest in Atlanta, Georgia. Ian Price,… 21, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force near Atlanta. Price was named the primary suspect for an aggravated murder case resulting from a tragic fatal shooting that took place on August 15, 2023.
The Crime Scene
The fatal shooting occurred in the vicinity of the 10500 block of Massie Avenue, as per the Cleveland Division of Police. Upon their arrival, the officers found the teen victim suffering from several gunshot injuries. All resuscitation efforts bore no fruits, and the teen regrettably passed away. Later, investigators were able to tie Ian Price to the murder.
Fugitive No More
Upon receiving intelligence that Price had absconded from Ohio and sought refuge in Georgia, the task force officers from the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force took it upon themselves to ensure justice would prevail. Finally, on a Tuesday, Price was apprehended at a residence near the 900 block of S. Deshon Road in Lithonia.
