The Inspiring Story of Nearest Green

Fawn Weaver, a bold CEO and author, embarked on this journey unveiling the captivating story of Nearest Green in her book “Love & Whiskey: The Remarkable True Story of Jack Daniel, His Master Distiller Nearest Green, and the Improbable Rise of Uncle Nearest.” She was joined by Victoria Eady Butler, the Master Blender of Uncle Nearest and the great-great-granddaughter of Green.

From far and wide, enthusiasts congregated to hear the once-overlooked history. The event was not just about the brand’s journey but also about learning the intricacies, the struggles, and the triumphs of the spirits industry.

Weaver’s recount of the challenges she faced in building Uncle Nearest increased the attendees’ admiration for this pioneering brand. In her words, “You literally have to elbow in no matter what.”

Weaver’s strategic acquisition of crucial assets, including the original Jack Daniel’s distillery, fortified her position in the market and kept the narrative of Nearest Green alive.
