Who is Michaelah Montgomery? Georgia Activist Steals the Show at Atlanta Trump Rally

When it comes to making waves and capturing attention, Michaelah Montgomery, a recent graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Georgia activist, definitely knows how to do it. This gritty go-getter was invited up on stage not once, but twice during former President Trump’s rally in Atlanta last Saturday and, boy oh boy, did she steal the show.

Predicted Star on a Rising Path

Montgomery happened to meet Trump at a restaurant earlier this year and apparently left quite an impression. In his speech at the Georgia State University Convocation Center, Trump described Montgomery as an “incredible” individual with a “tremendous future” ahead of her.

“She looks at me, says, ‘It’s President Trump. You saved my college.’ And I said, ‘How the h-ll do you know that?’… This one is so smart, so sharp,” Trump recalled. “She grabbed me. She gave me a kiss

“You were supposed to keep that quiet,” Montgomery teased.

Activism in Action

Montgomery, however, isn’t all fun and games. She’s also a serious activist, and she showed it on the podium.

She’s founded Conserve the Culture, an organization aimed at mobilizing conservative activism among students of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Participating in rallies like this one, Montgomery says, brings their cause’s message forward.

“Nobody needs this message more than my folks, so do y’all care for real?” Montgomery asked the crowd. They sure did cheer in support.

Controversial Remarks Stir the Pot

While Montgomery’s tenure on stage was certainly notable, it wasn’t the only thing talked about during and after the event. Trump dropped a bombshell with statements he made at the recent National Association of Black Journalists convention about Vice President Kamala Harris’ racial identity. Questioning whether she is Indian or Black.

Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson, however, commended Trump for “answering tough questions” at the conference. It seems like sparks are flying everywhere these days.

Marching Onward

In the meantime, Montgomery is continuing to work hard in Georgia, mobilizing her peers and inspiring others to join in the cause. Whether it’s on stage at a rally, in a classroom, or on the streets of her home state, this fierce activist is one to watch.

As the political atmosphere continues to heat up and division lines deepen across the country, only time will tell what impact Montgomery and activists like her will have on our nation’s future. One thing is for sure – she’s already off to a great start.
