Martin Lawrence Returns to Stand-up Comedy with Y’all Know What It Is! Tour

Lawrence’s First Comedy Tour in Eight Years Headed to Atlanta

The Big Momma’s House and Bad Boys star Martin Lawrence brings his comedic talents back to the stage with the Y’all Know What It Is! Tour, marking his highly anticipated return to stand-up comedy in eight long years. Lawrence’s tour will have two stops in Georgia – Atlanta and Savannah.

The Return of the Comedy King

After a prolonged hiatus from touring, fans of the legendary comedian were thrilled on May 8, 2024, with the announcement of Lawrence’s comeback tour, which kicks off in Chandler, Arizona on July 20. The comedy tour will feature Lawrence, at the age of 59, performing at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on March 7, followed by a performance at the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia, the very next day on March 8.

Special Guests Join Martin Lawrence on Tour

Accompanying Lawrence on the Y’all Know What It Is! Tour are special guests famous in the comedy circuit. The lineup includes the likes of Rickey Smiley, B. Simone, Jess Hilarious, Chico Bean, and Desi Banks, making the tour an event comedy lovers can’t afford to miss. Tickets for this joy ride will commence sale on Friday, May 17.

Clarifying Concerns Surrounding Lawrence’s Health

The announcement of the tour comes on the heels of concern for Lawrence’s health that ignited across social media platforms following his participation in the 75th Emmys this January. This speculation was triggered by some fans who posted videos of Lawrence pausing and apparently slurring his words during a tribute to his hit television show, “Martin.” However, Lawrence’s team clarified that the ensuing rumors were unfounded, attributing the glitches to technical difficulties with the teleprompter. They affirmed that Lawrence was in robust health and was concurrently shooting for the fourth installment of his globally loved movie series “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” alongside co-star Will Smith.

A Treat for Bad Boys Fans Before the Comedy Tour

Even before he takes the comedy circuit by storm, fans will get to see Lawrence do what he does best in “Bad Boys: Ride or Die,” releasing in theaters on June 7. Lawrence and his on-screen partner Will Smith are back in their roles as the unforgettable “bad boys for life,” promising their audience an action-packed ride.

Therefore, whether it’s on the big screen or the live stage, Martin Lawrence is set to entertain and bring laughter to fans around the country with his well-timed return to the limelight. With his upcoming movie and comedy tour, 2024 is indeed turning out to be an exciting year for Lawrence’s supporters.
