Georgia Power Plans to Hire Hundreds of Lineworkers Over the Next Few Years

Georgia Power, the largest electric power company in Georgia, has officially announced its ambitious plan to employ approximately 170 lineworkers annually over the course of the next three to five years. This comes as a significant move to enhance the power grid performances and to respond to the needs of a rapidly expanding economy.

The company has already begun to implement its plan by introducing scores of new members to their team. These recruits are primarily focused on the construction of main transmission lines and substations, critical areas in the power supply chain.

The list of currently participating technical colleges includes Atlanta Technical College, Coastal Pines Technical College, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, North Georgia Technical College, South Georgia Technical College, and the West Georgia Technical College.
