Exciting Leadership Changes at redefinED atlanta: A New Era in Education Support

Atlanta, GA – A wave of enthusiasm has washed over the education nonprofit world with the recent appointment of Tiffany Scott as the new Associate Vice President of Development at redefinED atlanta. This nonprofit is well-known for its commitment to improving public education in K-12 settings, advocating for equity, and supporting initiatives that truly benefit students and families.

During her time there, she played a crucial part in developing strategies that led to significant revenue growth, underpinning the organization’s mission as they established themselves in Atlanta.

Building Strong Communities

Ed Chang, the Executive Director of redefinED atlanta, expressed immense excitement about Scott joining the team. He remarked, “We are thrilled Tiffany has joined our team, as she embodies both a deep passion for elevating community and youth causes and the expertise needed to amplify our mission.” Her role will not only focus on leading major giving initiatives but also on advocacy and partnership development, a vital aspect of driving the organization’s goals forward.

Scott’s background is quite impressive. Armed with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Business Management from Spelman College, she has also previously worked with companies like ANN Taylor INC and Ross Stores. Her transition into the nonprofit sector began as a Manager of Donor Cultivation at City of Refuge, further highlighting her dedication to community development.

Celebrating Internal Growth

In addition to welcoming Scott, redefinED atlanta is also celebrating the promotion of Tyler Burrell from the Director of Operations to Vice President of Operations and People. Burrell has been with the organization since July 2022, and her commitment and strategic vision have been paramount in enhancing the organization’s operational health.

Burrell’s path in education began in the role of principal’s assistant at Achievement First East Brooklyn High School. Her passion for improving school operations and leadership soon led her to a forefront role as the Director of School Operations. Having recently graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College with a degree in Business Administration, she’s now not only part of the senior leadership team but also oversees financial processes—an essential element for any thriving organization.

What Lies Ahead
