Atlanta is about to get a whole lot more fun! A brand new interactive game show experience called The Game Show Challenge is set to open its doors at the lively Lee + White development in the city’s West End. This fabulous addition marks the third location for The Game Show Challenge, following successful spots in Columbia and Greenville, South Carolina.
If you’re a fan of game shows, you’ll be thrilled to know that the Atlanta venue will feature a sprawling 3,889-square-foot space nestled in Building 1000, conveniently located next to Monday Night Brewing and the new Grady neighborhood health center. Imagine getting together with friends and family to engage in interactive games where you can channel your inner game show contestant! The venue will host two studios designed for a variety of challenges, including spin-the-wheel fun, trivia, word puzzles, and so much more.
Typically, you can expect anywhere from six to fourteen contestants in a game, but fret not! The Game Show Challenge can accommodate larger groups too, making it a perfect outing for teams or corporate events. Whether you’re looking to plan a lively birthday party or a memorable team-building activity, this venue promises fun for everyone involved.
Managing partner Josh Brickey was excited to share that Lee + White is an ideal location for their newest game show creation. He commented, “Lee + White is a perfect fit for us. We love to be in areas like this with a steady flow of people. This is a great opportunity for us to be in a redeveloped space with a lot of character, surrounded by a great mix of tenants in a part of town that’s rejuvenating.”
Josh and his wife Patty, the brains behind The Game Show Challenge, have ambitious plans for expansion throughout the Southeast. They aim to open a total of 30 locations in the next five years. The Atlanta venue is aiming for a late 2024 opening, making it something to look forward to in the coming year!
The lease agreement was facilitated by Kelly Wilson, Senior Vice President of Ackerman Retail, who completed the deal on behalf of the owners of Lee + White, Ackerman & Co. and MDH Partners. Meanwhile, Robert Satcher Jr. of Pintail represented The Game Show Challenge. Wilson expressed enthusiasm about the new addition, saying, “We’re excited that The Game Show Challenge is joining the lineup at Lee + White. The Game Show Challenge will bring an engaging experience to Lee + White, perfect for visitors who want to mix in a fun activity while enjoying the restaurants, breweries, and other retailers at Lee + White and for workgroups looking for a fun team-building activity.”
If you’re not familiar with Lee + White, it’s a fantastic mixed-use development that was acquired by Ackerman & Co. and MDH Partners in 2019. The space spans an impressive 442,562 square feet and boasts half a mile of Atlanta BeltLine frontage. With four direct entrances to the trail, it’s an easy spot for visitors to access.
The latest phase at Lee + White has seen exciting updates, including the creation of a food hall, additional office space, new retail offerings, and a central gathering spot called the Great Lawn. This revitalization of the area makes it an even more vibrant destination for both locals and visitors alike.
As the countdown begins for the opening of The Game Show Challenge in late 2024, there’s no doubt that Atlanta will soon be buzzing with excitement. Whether you’re a game show aficionado or just looking for a good time with friends, this interactive experience will surely become a popular hot spot in the city. So, mark your calendars and get ready to spin the wheel!
