Ex-husband charged with murder of Morehouse School of Medicine surgical resident
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The former husband of a Morehouse School of Medicine surgical resident is facing murder charges in connection to an apparent deadly stabbing that happened on Sunday, according to the Marietta Police Department.
Mickey Anthony Woolery, 49, is facing several charges stemming from the death of Samantha Woolery after he was taken into custody in Camel, Indiana. He was charged with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.

Police said they believe Mickey fled Georgia and returned to his main residence in Indiana. Samantha was found dead by co-workers at the Lakeside at Town Center apartment complex on Sunday. They went to check on her after she failed to show up for work over the weekend. Marietta Police said she was attacked inside her apartment and had “visible cuts.”

Woolery’s autopsy results and cause of death are still pending. Mickey will be extradited back to Georgia.
