ATLANTA — Every Labor Day weekend, downtown Atlanta transforms into a hub of vibrant personalities as the much-anticipated Dragon Con returns to the Hyatt Hotel. Participants, excited to immerse themselves in a world of alter egos, leave their real identities at the revolving door. The attendees introduced themselves in unique ways:

Among them, was an Aquaman look-alike who humorously mentioned, “The transition from Atlantis to Atlanta is an easy one overall.” Even Harley Quinn made an appearance, playfully adding, “Even if I did [find Batman], I do have a nice kiss to give him!”

For many, attending Dragon Con is an annual tradition. Aquaman expressed, “Every time I come back for the Con it really does feel like home. It feels like one big family reunion.” Harley Quinn echoed similar sentiments, noting, “I really just miss all my friends. Dragon Con is the best place to come and find them.”

The lucky fans who managed to book rooms in one of the event’s host hotels especially enjoyed the convenience of staying close to the action. At the Hyatt on Peachtree Street, general manager Derrick Morrow shared, “We’re completely sold out. I mean, the whole city is doing great. You’re talking about 75,000 people.”
