In the bustling city of Atlanta, there’s exciting news for local communities as Delta Community Credit Union reveals its grant recipients for the 2025 Philanthropic Fund Program. With a heartwarming commitment to giving back, Georgia’s largest credit union is distributing a stunning total of $150,000 among 20 selected organizations. These grants aim to enhance the lives of children and families across metro Atlanta, focusing on health and human services, financial education, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) education.
Since launching the grants program in 2014, Delta Community has invested over $1.3 million into nearly 250 nonprofit organizations. This remarkable financial aid has touched the lives of more than 5.7 million people in the community. Isn’t that amazing? CEO Hank Halter expressed pride in this initiative, stating, “Helping to ensure the ongoing prosperity of the communities where we are privileged to operate is a win-win proposition.”
This year, the credit union will award grants in three tiers:
The selection of these organizations isn’t just a random pick. A committee of volunteer employees from Delta Community carefully reviews applications based on the amount requested, the intended use of the funds, and how closely the organization’s mission aligns with the Credit Union’s community investment strategy. This thoughtful approach ensures that the funds go where they are needed the most.
For those organizations looking to apply for future grants, mark your calendars! Applications for the 2026 grants will be accepted starting from July 1 to August 31, 2025. More information about the application process can be found on Delta Community’s Community Programs page.
Delta Community Credit Union believes in making a positive impact on the communities they serve. Their Philanthropic Fund Program is just one of the many ways they demonstrate good corporate citizenship. It truly is a beautiful thing when organizations come together to foster growth and provide for those in need. With these grants, we’re excited to see how these organizations will continue to uplift our local neighborhoods!
Stay tuned for more updates on how these grant recipients will use their funds for vibrant programs and community engagement. Here’s to brighter futures for our beloved city of Atlanta and its dedicated residents!
