Clarkston Community Mourns After Fatal Shooting of Local Teen; Public Assistance Needed

Clarkston Teenager Fatally Shot: Public’s Help Sought

In a deeply troubling incident that has shaken the community, police are requesting the public’s help in piecing together the events that led to the tragic death of an 18-year-old Clarkston teenager. The teen, identified as Jaherious “Jah” Montgomery, was fatally shot at the Silver Oak Apartments, a residential complex located at 1281 Brockett Road. The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, June 25.

According to the Clarkston Police Department, officers responded to a distress call at around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Montgomery suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their best efforts, it was already too late, and Montgomery was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, homicide detectives issued a statement urging anyone with information about the incident or those who may have been near the scene at the time to come forward. The police emphasized the importance of community cooperation in solving the case, hoping that collective efforts could bring the perpetrator(s) to justice sooner rather than later.
