Atlanta’s Theatrical Season Opens with Lorraine Hansberry’s ”A Raisin in the Sun”
ATLANTA – This year marks a significant milestone as we celebrate the 65th anniversary of Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun”. Back in 1959, this groundbreaking play became the first piece penned by a Black woman to be produced on Broadway. Fast forward to today, Atlanta audiences are gearing up for a special treat as the play returns to the stage, showcasing why it continues to be hailed as one of the greatest ever written.

Theatrical Outfit and Dominion Entertainment Group have joined forces to present “A Raisin in the Sun”, which opens tonight in previews and runs through September 29th at The Balzer Theater at Herren’s, located in Downtown Atlanta.
