Upon arrival at Whitehall Street SW and McDaniel Street SW, officers discovered a 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both suffering from gunshot wounds to their ankles. They were promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment and, fortunately, both are expected to survive their injuries. Preliminary findings suggest that the shooting occurred at 689 Whitehall Street SW. The Atlanta Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit is actively investigating this incident, and as of now, no suspects have been identified.

Second Incident: Shooting in Little Five Points

In a separate and alarming incident that afternoon, around 2:19 p.m., a 38-year-old man was shot in the right leg near the bustling area of 1107 Euclid Avenue NE, located in Little Five Points. As with the earlier incident, the injured man was transported to the hospital for further treatment. In a more favorable twist in this particular investigation, a 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this shooting and is currently held at the Fulton County Jail.
