Atlanta has been rocked by a series of violent shootings over the weekend, leaving the community in shock. Authorities are currently investigating multiple incidents, with some victims in critical condition and others tragically dead.

First Shooting in Midtown

Late Friday evening, a 28-year-old man was shot in the face near the 1400 block of West Peachtree Street in Midtown. The chilling incident occurred just before 10:49 p.m. The victim managed to transport himself to Grady Memorial Hospital, but details on the extent of his injuries and his identity remain undisclosed.

Second Shooting at Bolfair Drive

As the clock struck 1:33 a.m., a 22-year-old man was shot in the chest at 3566 Bolfair Drive. First responders quickly rushed him to the hospital, where his condition is being assessed. The details surrounding this incident are scarce as the investigation unfolds.

Tragic Fatal Shooting on Mayson Turner Road

Not long after, at approximately 2:26 a.m., police responded to another shooting on the 900 block of Mayson Turner Road. A 58-year-old man was found suffering from gunshot wounds and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of this victim has yet to be released by law enforcement, adding to the tragedy of the night.

Additional Shooting at Trestletree Village Apartments

In a separate incident, around 10 p.m., a shooting took place at Trestletree Village Apartments in southeast Atlanta. A gunshot victim made their way to an emergency room at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding Hospital, but details about the victim remain unknown. Authorities were dispatched to locate the scene on the 800 block of Eloise Court, as investigations are ongoing.

Teenager Shot at Keswick Village Apartments

On Tuesday evening, another shooting unfolded in Conyers when a teenager was shot at Keswick Village Apartments around 7:30 p.m.. The young victim is reported to be in stable condition, while police continue to search for a suspect, who allegedly fled the scene after an argument escalated into violence. The suspect is described as a Black male, wearing an oversized black hoodie, blue jeans, slides, and a ski mask at the time of the shooting.

Domestic Incident Leads to Fatality

In southwest Atlanta, a domestic situation led to another shooting on Sunday evening, where police found a man in his 40s dead inside a house on the 100 block of Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. The investigation hints at potential involvement from the victim’s sister, who is currently being questioned by authorities.

Police-Involved Shooting at Auto Shop

Finally, a police-involved shooting unfolded at an auto shop in southwest Atlanta around 7:14 p.m. Witnesses reported a man with a gun, prompting police action that resulted in a shooting. Thankfully, the only person injured was the man involved, who was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover. Early reports suggest intoxication may have been a factor, and the inquiry is still in its early stages with no charges filed as of now.

The community anxiously awaits more information as these investigations continue. Authorities encourage anyone with information about any of these incidents to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigations.
