Visitors can scan QR codes with their phones to experience the melodious strains of “Negro spirituals” sung by Kathryn — a music minister for five decades. Adding a pinch of warmth and fragrance to the event are Dr. Catherine Meeks’ delightful scented candles. An artisanal endeavor that started twenty-five years ago, these candles, paired with personalized cards, are another way for attendees to contribute, making every purchase meaningful.
