Get your dress-to-impress mode on, Atlanta! It’s not New York or Paris Fashion Week, but our very own local version is hitting the community in exactly one month. That’s right, the annual Noon to Night: Fall Fashion Benefit at Avalon is happening on Thursday, September 12th.
So why should you keep your excitement levels high and calendars marked? Well, it’s not just about spotting fashion trends and embracing the autumn season in style, but it’s also about giving back. Tickets are on sale now, and the evening is sure to be one to remember with both fashion and heartfelt philanthropy set to take center stage.
But here’s the sweetest part of it. Each dollar raised from this snazzy event will be donated to Bert’s Big Adventure, an Atlanta-based nonprofit organization. Founded in 2002 by radio host Bert Weiss, the group organizes all-expenses-paid trips to Walt Disney World for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. Now, how’s that for making a difference?
Here’s your your chance to witness pure joy up close and personal. This trendy show at Avalon will feature Bert’s Big Adventure kids, notable local personalities, and professional models sashaying down the runway. Avalon’s top tier clothing outlets will be showcasing their unique fall collections.
Sheridan Smith, the program manager of Bert’s Big Adventure, enthused, “This is one of our favorite events of the year. The Boulevard is just completely taken over… and they shut it all down and set out this awesome blue runway for our kids.”
Pricing deets: If you want to join the fashion fiesta, general admission tickets are priced at $50, while a VIP package, inclusive of priority seating and an exclusive after-party at The Hotel at Avalon Pool Terrace, will cost you $150. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the breathtaking fashion show at 8 p.m.
