Atlanta DJ Experiences Major Loss After Storage Facility Robbery

In a shocking turn of events, an Atlanta DJ has reported a staggering loss of $15,000 worth of equipment following a break-in at a Midtown storage facility. This incident has left the DJ community, his fans, and concerned stakeholders in a state of dismay.

The Incident

Adam Horne, known professionally as DJ “Blak Magic,” made a shocking discovery on May 1 when he paid a visit to his storage unit located in Extra Space Storage on Bishop Street, just a brief distance from Atlantic Station. Horne found his unit – now without his valuable equipment – plundered. Estimated at about $15,000, the stolen property consisted of vital DJ equipment and a treasured shoe collection.

Police Investigation

The Atlanta Police Department, which moved swiftly on the case, has made available video footage from the facility, dated April 23. As the video revealed, one person walked out carrying a bag while another individual was seen with black plastic bags. According to the police, these men are believed to be connected to the break-in at Horne’s unit. Meanwhile, investigations continue into the break-ins of several storage units at the Extra Space Storage facility.

Communication Lapse

Horne expressed his dismay when asked about the incident, pointing out that he was not promptly informed about the burglary by the management of the storage facility. In response, Atlanta Officer Asia Royal queried the manager who reported to have had a busy day, thereby forgetting to notify Horne.

Extra Space Storage’s Statement

In a recent turn of events, FOX 5 requested a camera interview with Extra Space Storage but received a written statement instead. The spokesperson, who failed to make an appearance on camera, stated, “Security is a top priority for Extra Space Storage. We’ve introduced additional security measures and designated additional attention to this site to ensure customer safety. We are presently scrutinizing our security systems to enhance protection at this site. The issue of customer notification is currently under internal investigation. Our leadership team will reach out to Adam Horne.”

The Aftermath

“I have to start over with my business,” Horne said in a heartbreaking statement. Horne’s tragedy goes beyond the loss of high-value equipment; it symbolizes the loss of his investment over the past 15 years. He has appealed to the public for support and information leading to the recovery of his property, a plea that resonates with other victims of the break-ins.
