Atlanta Prepares for the Magical Premiere of Disney’s Frozen: The Musical This Winter

Atlanta Shines Bright as Disney’s Frozen: The Musical Set to Cast a Spell This Winter

ATLANTA, GA (December 2024) – Get ready, Atlanta! As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, there’s a heartwarming spectacle ready to light up the stage. You guessed it, Disney’s Frozen: The Musical is making its much-anticipated regional premiere right here with the City Springs Theatre Company (CSTC) starting December 13th, running all the way through December 29th. So, grab your mittens and scarves, because this is one wintry treat you won’t want to miss!

Brought to us by the awesome folks at Atlanta Orthodontic Specialists, this production is the second exciting installment in the 2024 – 2025 PNC Bank Season. Based on the wildly popular 2013 animated film, the stage version tells the story of the fearless sisters, Elsa and Anna, as they navigate sisterhood, along with a magical twist as Elsa’s mysterious powers seem to get the kingdom of Arendelle stuck in an eternal winter.

But don’t fret, Anna’s got back-up! On her adventure to save her sister and the kingdom, she teams up with the ever-charming ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and Olaf, the snowman who’s always ready to melt hearts with his warm humor. Expect to be serenaded by tunes like “Do You Want To Build A Snowman,” “Love Is An Open Door,” and the powerhouse hit “Let It Go.” The music, created by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, ensures there’s a song everyone will be singing on their way home.

Executive Director Natalie DeLancey couldn’t hold back her excitement, noting, “We are incredibly excited to be the first and only regional company in the Southeast licensed to present Disney’s Frozen: The Musical to audiences.” Indeed, magic awaits!

This spectacular production will unfold on the stage of the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center’s Byers Theatre. And guess what? There will be a magical Christmas Eve matinee for all those who wish to add a little more enchantment to their holiday season.

Heading up this sparkling cast are Sarah Stipe and Leigh Ellen Jones as the dynamic sisters Elsa and Anna. With a talented lineup that includes Broadway veterans like Michael Stiggers Jr. as Kristoff, and the delightful Atlanta’s-own Brian Wittenberg as Olaf, this show promises to be a real treat.

If you’re planning to see this enchanting show, performances are filling up fast! In fact, several shows, like those on December 14th and December 21st at 2:00 pm, are already sold out.
