The folks at the Atlanta Police Department are putting their foot down—legally, of course—on these reckless shenanigans. They’re not doing it solo, either. In the latest operation, aptly named “Operation Burnt Out”, our diligent law enforcers teamed up with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol, among others. In a detailed operation held in late September, authorities managed to make some serious headway. They corralled a whopping 47 suspects involved in illegal street racing. What’s interesting is that, out of all these arrests, only one person was actually from our beloved Atlanta. It’s clear Atlanta’s racing scene is attracting folks from all around.
