Atlanta’s Black Restaurant Week
Got an appetite for rooting local? Well, it’s time to check out Black-owned restaurants, food trucks, sweet shops, and more across Atlanta from 4th to 18th August. Get ready to taste everything from sumptuous tapas to gourmet brunch with participating spots including Gocha’s Tapas Bar, Virgil’s Gullah Kitchen & Bar, and Atlantic Grill among others.
Topgolf Ice Cream Truck
Soothing your sweet tooth is the name of the game with the Topgolf Ice Cream Truck visiting on August 6 in Midtown and August 7 in Alpharetta. Score some free ice cream and grab your share of Topgolf goodies while supplies last.
Cheese Please Workshop at Epicurean Atlanta
Calling all curd nerds! Take a tasty trip to Thomasville with Sweet Grass Dairy cheeses and a curated selection of wine pairings from Stoller Family Estate. A multi-course menu featuring an enlightening talk about the cheese-making process. This cheesy event will be on August 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.. Tickets are priced at $85 per head.
Grand Tasting Alpharetta
Unleash the ultimate foodie in you on August 8 from 7-10 p.m., with this grand fest of unlimited tastings from over 25 restaurants. Get your hands on culinary samples, watch cooking demos, or just enjoy live music while tickling your taste buds at featured spots including Minnie Olivia Pizzeria, and Nahm Fine Thai Cuisine. Tickets range from $85-$125.
NATIONAL OYSTER DAY (AUG. 5)
Celebrate of the sea’s tastiest treasures at BeetleCat with an extended happy hour featuring a selection of $1.50 oysters, including Summer Love and Salty Birds. Okay, we know you love your oysters, so why not head to The Optimist for some classic roasted oysters with parsley garlic butter and crunchy breadcrumbs during their happy hour between 5-6 p.m. And the oyster party doesn’t stop there! Ocean & Acre in Alpharetta have a tempting offer of East Coast oysters for just $2 each from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 4 and 5.
SUMMER OLYMPICS SPECIALS
Let’s get sporty with some Olympic-themed treats! Beetlecat invites you to bite into their special Olympic donuts, available through August 11. Choose between “Going for the Gold” – a gold-dipped donut decorated with golden stars, and an Olympic topper – or the patriotic “All American” – featuring red and blue brown butter glaze with golden stars.

Or visit Casa Balam in Downtown Decatur which serves up traditional and modern Mexican dishes, including flavorful empanadas and mouthwatering meat options like beef birria.
