Authorities Launch Manhunt After Home Invasion in Alpharetta
ATLANTA, Ga. (Here News) – The Alpharetta Police Department is still on the lookout for two suspects involved in a home invasion incident that occurred on Monday. The search has led to lockdowns at two local schools as authorities work diligently to locate the individuals responsible for the crime.
School Lockdowns Amidst Manhunt
Police are focusing their search efforts around Haynes Bridge Road near Big Creek Greenway, prompting Haynes Bridge Middle School to go into lockdown as a precautionary measure. Despite the lockdown, authorities have clarified that the suspects are not believed to be on the school premises.
Milton police indicated that the suspects are sought in connection with a home invasion that took place in Milton late Monday morning. Officers responded to a burglary in progress at a residence on Highgrove Club Drive around 11:40 a.m. It was reported that the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle they stole from the home and later abandoned near North Point Parkway, fleeing towards the greenway on foot.
Lockdowns Lifted at Area Schools
Fulton County Schools officials confirmed that the stolen vehicle was discovered near Haynes Bridge Middle School, prompting a hard lockdown at the institution. Following a thorough search of the school premises with no sighting of the suspects, the lockdown was downgraded to a soft lockdown. New Prospect Elementary School, in close proximity to Haynes Bridge Middle School, also went on lockdown as a safety precaution.
Both schools resumed their normal dismissal schedules, and Fulton County Schools officials assured parents and guardians that there was no immediate danger to students or staff.
Suspects Description Released
Authorities have provided preliminary descriptions of the suspects to aid in their apprehension. One suspect is described as a Black man without a shirt, adorned with tattoos, wearing wet black pants. The second suspect is identified as a light-skinned, bald Black man. Further details regarding the suspects have not been disclosed by law enforcement at this time.

While assuring the public that there is no imminent threat, law enforcement officials are advising residents to steer clear of the search area and remain indoors as the search continues. The collaboration of community members is essential in ensuring a swift resolution to the ongoing manhunt.
