Luckily, Atlanta offers many summer camps geared for the younger set! Our list of day camps for preschoolers allow parents to choose a summer camp that aligns with interests and schedule. We’ve included summer camps that offer a little bit of everything, as well as camps specifically for sports, dance, drama, and more. Camp Kingfisher at Chattahoochee Nature Center – Roswell

Chattahoochee Nature Center offers its popular Camp Kingfisher to kids, from preschoolers to teens. Hike, canoe, kayak, swim, and enjoy nature surrounding the Chattahoochee River. Summer camp, as well as winter break camp and holiday break, spots fill up quickly.

Dunwoody Nature Center – Dunwoody

Kids ages 4-11 learn about wetlands, birds, reptiles, and more at the 22-acre Dunwoody Nature Center’s weekly summer camps. The center also hosts camps for kids ages 9-13 at the Island Ford unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, as well as homeschool classes, adult classes, and mommy-and-me classes.

Summer Camp at Blue Heron Nature Center – Atlanta

Kids ages 4-12 will learn about nature at the 30-acre Blue Heron Nature Preserve. A popular theme is Mud Week, where campers play in the mud to learn about underground ecosystems.
